For the flooring, the customer chose Porcelanosa Carrara Gold tiles, sized 59.6 x 59.6 cm. These tiles offer a sleek, sophisticated appearance with delicate gold veining that adds a touch of elegance to the bathroom floor. To coordinate with the floor, the walls were adorned with Palatina Gold marble effect tiles. These tiles mirror the luxurious appeal of natural marble, creating a seamless and harmonious flow throughout the bathroom space.

In the shower cubicle, the Mumble Light Oak wood effect tiles were selected to create an eye-catching feature. The warm tones of the wood effect tiles provided a stunning contrast to the marble effect tiles, resulting in a captivating focal point within the shower area.

The completed bathroom exceeded expectations, with the gold veins in the marble effect tiles beautifully complementing the colour of the wood, tile trims, and accessories. The result is a fully accomplished bathroom that exudes elegance and sophistication, leaving our customer thoroughly impressed with the transformation.

Our team of skilled tile fitters recently faced a task to repair a floor where tiles were cracking due to improper installation by previous fitters. This situation required careful attention and expertise to ensure a long-lasting solution.

The initial issue stemmed from the previous tile fitters’ failure to install crack matting before laying the tiles on top of the underfloor heating system. The absence of this critical layer caused the tiles to detach, lift from the substrate, and ultimately crack, compromising both the aesthetics and functionality of the floor.

Our Solution:

• Step 1: Remove Existing Tiles

Our first step was to carefully remove the damaged tiles. We ensured that this process was conducted with precision to avoid any further damage to the underlying structure.

• Step 2: Levelling the Floor

With the old tiles out of the way, our team meticulously levelled the floor. A smooth, even surface is essential for the stability and longevity of any new tile installation, especially when underfloor heating is involved.

• Step 3: Installing Crack Matting

To prevent future issues, we installed crack matting. This essential layer acts as a buffer, absorbing movement and stress, which is crucial when dealing with the heat expansion and contraction associated with underfloor heating systems.

• Step 4: Laying New Sovereign Beige Tiles

Finally, we laid down beautiful Sovereign Beige 80 x 80cm floor tiles throughout the entire ground floor. These tiles not only provided a fresh, cohesive look but also offered durability and resilience. The Result: A Flawless Floor!

Thanks to our team’s expertise and attention to detail, the ground floor now boasts a flawless finish. The new tiles are securely in place, with the crack matting ensuring they remain stable and intact, even with the underfloor heating system in use. To complement the walls, the customer chose Mumble Natural Oak tiles for the flooring. When it comes to construction and renovation projects, merging the aesthetics of a new build with an existing structure can be a challenging task. Our recent project involved a unique request for our fitting team: to install brick slips over an extension of an external building. The goal was to seamlessly integrate the new extension with the existing architecture, creating a cohesive and visually appealing finish.

In one of the bathrooms, the customer opted for a sophisticated and dark colour scheme. The walls were adorned with the luxurious Pleasure Matt Brown 1198x598mm tiles. These tiles are renowned for their rich, deep brown hue that adds a sense of opulence and warmth to any space. The striking gold veins running across the surface of these tiles further enhance the luxurious ambiance, creating a stunning visual appeal that draws the eye and elevates the entire bathroom’s aesthetic.

The customer selected the Mumble Natural floor tiles. These tiles provide a subtle contrast to the darker wall tiles, offering a natural and earthy tone that harmonises beautifully with the overall design. The combination of the Pleasure Matt Brown tiles with the Mumble Natural floor tiles results in a cohesive and elegant space that is both inviting and stylish.

In the second bathroom, the walls have been adorned with elegant Carrara marble mosaic tiles, known for their classic beauty and timeless appeal. These tiles bring a sophisticated and luxurious ambiance to the space, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the bathroom. To complement the Carrara marble mosaics, brushed gold trims have been strategically used. These trims seamlessly coordinate with the bathroom fixtures, adding a touch of elegance and warmth.
